Resources for Teachers

Best Resource - Teacher Support Teams!

Thanks to California's new funding system and the LCAP process, additional staff members are now available at school sites to support teachers and their ongoing professional learning. These teacher leaders can provide support that includes: demonstration lessons, co-planning of lessons, assistance in analysis of student data, co-teaching lessons, and collecting data during lessons for reflection.

Click on the name of your "Teacher Supporter" below to access his/her email and request a meeting for any instructional support you may need.

DonorsChoose.org Board Policy

After reviewing Board Policy, Ed. Code and the DonorsChoose.org Ownership Policy, we have created the following guidelines for receipt of donations from DonorsChoose.org

  • All donations (no matter how small) must be approved by the Board of Trustees.  We will provide a template for the Office Managers to keep track of all donations.  They can submit one board item each month when donations are received at a school site.  Teachers receiving donations will be responsible to inform the Office Managers of such donations.

  • According to the DonorsChoose contract, materials funded through DonorsChoose.org are considered to be the property of the District but will remain in that classroom until the teacher leaves.  If the teacher moves to another site within the district or leaves to teach in another public school, permission to move the materials needs to be obtained by the site principal.

  • Any donations regarding technology need to follow the District guidelines for technology.  Once received, they must be registered by the Technology Department so we can keep a current inventory of all technology in the District.  Those guidelines are available on the District’s website.

Videos - Math Instruction

The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the Hunt Institute have produced a series of videos to enhance understanding of the mathematics that students need to succeed in college, life, and careers. The series also covers the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Standards for Mathematical Practice and examines why developing conceptual understanding requires a different approach to teaching and learning. You will also find a useful video for parents wishing to support their child’s mathematics learning. Please view the videos on the NCTM Teaching and Learning Mathematics with the Common Core Web page.
