Posted 5/31/17

The Lawndale Elementary School District (LESD) is proud to share that Van Bui, Social Worker at William Anderson Elementary School, has received the Distinguished Field Instructor Award from the USC Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. The award recognizes Bui’s dedication to guiding social work and counseling interns while attaining invaluable hands-on experience as they participate in the district’s Intern Program.

“We are proud that our District has received a second consecutive recognition from the USC Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. The LESD Student Support Services Team is truly committed to providing unique and individualized supports to help all of our students attain academic success. We look forward to a continuous partnership with USC that will benefit both our students and our interns,” said Maria Ruelas, LESD District Social Worker.

This is the second consecutive year LESD has received a top honor from USC—last year, LESD was the recipient of the Agency of the Year Award for their innovative Intern Program.
